- Hi hun, goodday to ye.
- Ive seen in yer previous posts ye've been using CND stickey. How do ye rate it as a base coat, as compared to others? In matters of staining, I mean.
- Have ye tried other brands of base coats and came back to it?
- Hope to get an opinion or two from ye regarding this. Ive used Orly bonder and boy it stains like a fiend.
- Now looking into Nubar and CND. Staying power aint that important to me, it's how well it protects against the stains that gets me interested.
- Hope ye could provide some insight hun. Cheers and best regards.

- Hey Brynn,
- Thank you so much for your query.
- I have been using CND Stickey for a good few years now. Previously, I was using CND Ridge Out as a base coat. Unfortunately CND Ridge Out does stain my nails as well.
- I have also previously used some cheap unbranded base coats but not much luck! However, I am not too concern of the yellowish stains. I prefer something that will hold on to the polishes longer.
- You should not be facing this problem if you are not constantly applying nail polishes. I only find that my nails stain after the 3rd manicure. But currently, it stains like crap as I never go without polished nails.
- I have read online that the only way is to just grow it out and trim the yellowish part away. You could also try a smooth buff to buff away the top part of the nails. See if it get rids of the stain.
- I do not think there is a 100% solution to prevent staining since most polishes - even the pale/sheer shades will stain.
- Hope this helps!

OPI Rising Star
OPI Rising Star is one of the polishes from the Burlesque Collection. It's warm gold micro glitter. I really like the colour, it suits my skintone.
I got the mini pack (OPI Burlesque Little Teaser's Mini). At least I got to try some of the colours without blowing up a whole load of cash for full sized bottles. I might get the full sized one for OPI Rising Star.
This is 2 coats.

China Glaze V & Konad M63
Sorry for the cuticle growth. It's been four days since I've done this manicure. China Glaze V is creme orange. Application was easy and drying time was great. I did 2 coats.
About 2 days after, I stamped one of the designs from Konad Plate M63 with Konad's Black Special Polish. I did random fingers for that. Stamping all 10 fingers will look too 'busy'.

Zoya Gemma
The last colour from Zoya Intimates Collection 2011. This is Zoya Gemma. It's olive-ish green with subtle purple shimmer.
Application was easy and drying time was great. This is 2 coats.
However, I'm not a fan of this colour - it makes my nails looked like I just dipped it into some kind of gooey substance.

Zoya Dannii & CG Fault Line
Another one from Zoya Intimates 2011 Collection. This is medium purple with gold micro glitter. It's quite opaque on 1st coat but it doesn't look like how it is in the bottle. I guess maybe the 2nd coat will be better?
Yup! I'm right!
I like the formula for this one. :D This purple leans towards more to red and I'm lovin' it. Or maybe because I've always liked purple polishes?

Thank goodness this is a clear shot. I tried SOOOOO many times to get one under warm lighting. The picture came out more to blue-ish purple under cool flourescent lighting.
Here is one with China Glaze Crackle added onto it! I love the look! I love purple!!

Zoya Jules & China Glaze Crackle Lightning Bolt
Ok, yet another polish from Zoya Intimates Collection 2011.
This is Zoya Jules. It's taupe with lots of gold microglitters. It'll probably stand out on fairer skin though. I'm tanned so it looks like it's blending into my skin colour.
Can't really say for now if I like this colour or not. I'm still thinking... Anyway, this is 2 coats.

A friend told me that my finger nails looked like I applied mud on it. Argh! Here it is topped with CG Crackle Lightning Bolt.

Zoya Dove & Konad M70
Another one from the Zoya Intimate collection.
This is Zoya Dove and it's 2 coats. No application problem though, which is good.
Not really a fan of this colour though.
After a couple of days, I got bored and decided to stamp! It would've been a waste to remove the colour as it hasn't chipped or show any wear sign yet.
I chose the squiggles patter from Konad M70 plate and stamped it with Konad White.
