Just Bought: Mamonde Total Solution Eye Cream

Hey Girls,

I've just purchased Mamonde Total Solution Eye Cream off Ebay! Can't wait for it to arrive!

Hopefully this will be my HG eye cream as I've tried soooooooo many eye creams which don't work out as what I'd hope for.

This cost me RM90.96 with free shipping direct from Seoul and it's a 30ml bottle! Quite affordable imo.

Here are the description of the products, as per shown in their website.

Product Benefits- Concentrated Moisturizing For Eyes
Beta-glucan forms a moisture barrier around eyes to protect the eye area.
- Reduce Puffiness & Dark Circles
Dermochlorella and orange flower extract improves dark circles and reduces puffiness by promoting circulation.

I'm overly excited about the 'promise' they gave for the dark circles improvement. We shall see when I have used this for at least half of the bottle!

L'Oreal Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream

I got this from Barcelona El-Prat Airport earlier this year. It came with the Youth Code Day & Night Cream pack. Roughly about €12 each. Of course it's sold separately as well but I think it's about €20 which is way too much for me.

It's the usual 15ml glass jar with a plastic screwcap as how their other lines of eye creams are.

And it's half used. I usually prefer to review after it's been used for awhile to see if there is really a difference after. As you can see, it's of a thick mouse consistency. It is not frangraced.

After application, my eye area did feel moisturised as I prefer thicker creams as opposed to gels. That's because when gel dries up, it gives me that taut feeling and sometimes my eye area gets irritated by that.

It claims to rejuvenate and gives an anti wrinkle benefit, which does not do it for me. But I will buy it again for it's moisturising benefits rather than their other claims.

I guess I'll be off looking for a new eye cream again! Must be the milionth time I've changed a brand for this!

Sadly this eye cream is not available in Malaysia for those who wants to try it out.

Note: Will be updating more reviews soon! I won't be updating any nail swatches at the moment as I haven't gotten any new colours yet!

Orly Goth

Hey Girls,

Tried out a new colour today, well, not really new as I've got alot of black ones lying around.

It goes opaque on 2nd coat. Upon 1st coat, it doesn't even apply streaky but I'm really used to 2 coats manicure at least.

This has a black base with silver glitter. It's very minimal, which is exactly what I like. Overloading in glitter just makes me crazy when removing.

PS: Was too lazy to do a proper clean up though. Sorry!!

Just Bought: Laneige Balancing Emulsion Light

Hello Girls,

Been really unhappy with the korean moisturiser that I'm using current. I won't be able to give you the name because it's all in Korean wordings.

Anyway, the first time using it, it cleared my acne (chin, around nose - everywhere) and whiteheads (forehead). I used that particular moisturiser a couple of years back and last December - I ran out of it because I gave the last pair of moisturiser (1 night and 1 day cream) to my sister who has the same problem as me. My skin was crystal clear and I was able to go out without having to use any face powder and the sort. So I thought "OK, looks like my skin is clear of all the bad stuff".

By mid of January this year, one by one, the pimple start popping - particularly the area of my chin, around my nose and above lip area. The whiteheads which was cleared before, started coming back one by one and I panicked. So I got it again in February in the hopes that it'll go back as how it was before the first time using it. Sadly, it's still not good enough for me.

I'm into the 7th month of usage now. There are still minority of whiteheads and the occasional zits during the time of the month.

Sorry for the sad post but, but but!!! I finally bought the Laneige Balancing Emulsion Light. Well, still need time for it to arrive KL though. I will be doing a full review of it once I use about half of the bottle!

Useless post, I know but.... just wanted to share the excitement! Wish me luck!

Have any of you used this before? Does it really moisturised your face to the max as it claims? Does it reduce the oiliness of your skin?

Essie She's Picture Perfect

This is actually more to lilac rather than baby blue. I couldn't even capture the right colour with both natural light and warm light! But anyway, the 2nd picture is almost what our naked eye could see.

This is 2 coats and it's a great formula. It has very very fine and minimal pinkish shimmer which I'm unable to capture as well. At least it's not a bland creme!

OPI Warm & Fozzie

I've got a few nail polishes lately. Here's one of them. It's OPI Warm & Fozzie from The Muppet Collection.

Look at that! Isn't it gorgeous? It's did such a good work bling-ing my nails. It's like I have gold on my nails, well, not really gold but you get the jizz right?

Took this picture to show you how colourful the foils are. However, I wonder how it'd be when it's time to do my manicure again? Will update soon on that!

Update: Removing this polish is a nightmare. But definitely easier than removing large foils. But still.... argh!

Skin Food Argan Oil Silk Hair Essence

So, I'm in the stage of looking for the best hair serum/oil/repair treatment at the moment. My hair has become really dry, because earlier this year I decided to colour my hair of a light brown (but in reality, the colour chart shows that it's dark blonde but of course looks of a light brown on Asian hair) and that usually means more % of peroxide (or whatever they call the hair dye mixer).

I tried so many products and I got this one when I was in Seoul in March this year.

It's Argan Oil and I've read that this is really good for the hair bla bla bla. It's about RM30+ and I've checked Skin Food in KL and it seems to be selling at RM60?! Crazy right?! Well, I'm the sort of person who will only buy a product which originate from their own country to save on my money. That is of course if I ever visit that country or if my siblings are. :D

It does have some perfume smell to it but after application, you won't be able to notice that smell anymore. I use 2 pumps for the bottom half of my hair and 2 pumps for the top half. I feel that just 1 pump or 2 pumps for the whole head is not enough. Plus, my hair's a bit longer now. :D Been waiting forever for the hair to grow out and I notice that it's pretty fast.

Verdict: It did somehow moisturised my hair but then again I'm not sure if this is the product that made it more moisturised than usual because I'm using a few different products every few days. LOL But, this oil is worth it!! Get it girls!

Missha M Super Black Brush Pen Liner

I got another eyeliner - AGAIN! Yes, I know. I have a ton of them now but, while I was in Seoul back in March 2012, I was walking from an exit to the train platform, I passed by Missha.

My sister told me about Missha before but I didn't take notice of it. I believe that they don't even have a counter/store here in Malaysia? If they do, please let me know!!

The liquid eyeliner was put at the front of the store and I was intrique with the packaging (like always). Later on (when I got back home), I found out that this is their newest line. I think it's the M line. I guess that's why it was at the front of the shop.

It cost me ₩11,800 which is about RM31-ish. So, without looking at the price, I was asking the SA for waterproof liquid eyeliner in black and she suggested me to get this. And finally I paid for it and was shocked at the price. I was thinking of getting a cheap one but, oh well.

The brush is really soft (comparable to Maybelline's Hypersharp Eyeliner). This is obviously in black. When you shake it, there is this ball that you hear rocking back and forth (like a liquid paper tube).

I wanted to show you all how soft the brush is in the picture above but I think it failed. #Angle-problem

Please ignore the top drawn line as I was drawing it so slowy, with my camera on timer for 10 seconds to take picture#4. Just refer to the 2nd drawn line. It's not as black as I want it to be on my hand but trust me, it is blacker than this by 5x when I draw it on my eye.

The surprising thing about this eyeliner is IT DID NOT SMUDGE NOR TRANSFER TO MY UNDER EYELID. I'm serious! I have oily t-zone and practically ALL eyeliners (pen, pencil & even gel) smudge by 11am and I look like I did it on purpose to create that gothic look!

I will never buy another eyeliner in my whole life but this one. I got my lovely dearest brother to get another 2 for me from Seoul! I think I'm gonna get my sister to get me another 1 when she heads to Seoul at the end of the year. Yay!!

Yes, I still have like 10 eyeliners to finish up before having just 1 favourite eyeliner which is this one. :D

Verdict: Buy this if you have oily eyelids. You will not regret it. Love 100x!!!

L'Oreal Revitalift Eye

Sorry for the month long hiatus. I promised I'll be posting up more post this time 'round!

Anyway, I got this eye cream from Guardian awhile ago. I wanted a cream that is really creamy, instead of watery lotion-ish type of eye cream.

I think this goes for around RM40+. Sorry! Forgot the price but, it's around that range.

Anyhow, it's a 15ml tub - as usual, most eye creams are of this size.

I apply this once in the morning and once at night.

As you can see from the picture, it's of a white creamy consistency but of course it applies on transparent. I really like the consistency though. However, there isn't much difference from the first day I applied it till today. I guess it's probably a few months now?

Look! The tub is almost empty!! I guess it could last me for another 10 applications the most? Well, I'll be trying out another L'Oreal eye cream after this one runs out. I got it in Barcelona El Prat International Airport (special travel package - but it's all full sized tubs) back in January 2012.

Will do a review on that in a few month's time!

Verdict: I will not repurchase this eye cream again unless it is absolutely the only eye cream available in the market.

Let me know what you think. Have you used this eye cream before?

Skin Food All Over Muffin Cake Finish

I was in Seoul this March 2012. There were so many cosmetics store everywhere and I just had to go into Skin Food. I heard it was much cheaper there than in KL. I was right! It was around 30% to 40% cheaper! And if I hit a certain amount, I'd get my tax refund at the airport.

I got the All Over Muffin Cake Finish - yea, yea, another bronzer! It smelled kind of sweet. I didn't realised that until I used it back home. I prefer a citrusy smell or none at all if possible.

It even came with a brush (at the separated bottom compartment) but, I don't think it'll work well because it's a flat brush. I don't go well with flat brushes.

Rimmel Sunshimmer - 3 in 1 Shimmering Bronzer - 001 Gold Princess

When I was in Barcelona in January 2012, I was at El Ingles Cortes. It is a Spanish departmental store (like Parkson) and I spotted Rimmel's counter!

That's where I searched for bronzers. I'm so in love with bronzers I don't know why. I don't crave the 'fair' look which is and will always be a 'in' thing in Asia. I love being tanned!

Anyhow, I got this Shimmering Bronzer in 001 Gold Princess. I think it was €5.95 after 20% tourist discount. Seems like a fair price.

The 4th swatch is all colours combined

The bronzer is fairly sheer if you ask me because I usually swirl my brush all over to apply instead of picking one of the 3 colours.

So what do you think?

A-England Lady of the Lake

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been travelling and then coming back and then travelling again. I would be flying off again end of May and hopefully I'll be able to get some scheduled posts up.

This is the 2nd A-England polish that I have.

Again, formula was really thick. I wish they had really given it some more thinning into it as when it is already thick upon first using it, what more will be later?

It's more like a puple holo but I feel that it should have more of the holo particles. Not very sure if I'll purchase any more of their holo polishes. We'll see.

Although formula was thick, it was easy to apply. I did see a 'stray' hair on the brush and i pulled it out and cut it off. Wouldn't want it to ruin my manicure. Drying time was slow, so I had to use Seche's Top Coat.

This is 2 coats.

A-England Tristam

So I took the plunge to order the holos from A-England's website. They are offering free shipping worldwide, so why not?

I bought 2 polishes, both of them holos. Coming right up is Tristam.

It's a blue holo.

But anyhow, the colour is really nice. I like! Consistency is abit on the thick side. The brush is round but I'm alright with that since I'm getting quite good with polishing after doing manicures after manicures - at least once a week. Drying time is a little slow, so I had to use Seche's top coat. Otherwise, I will definately smudge this.... because I need to freaking wash the wok after this.

This is 2 coats.

OPI Baby It's Coal Outside

I'm in the 'black' mood lately. Not sure why, it seems to look better with my skin tone.

Here's OPI Baby It's Coal Outside. Quite an old colour but I absolutely love it. Notice the faint shimmer? I love it as it does not overpower the dark charcoal colour.

Application was easy. However, this is 3 coats. It was as opaque as I wished it'd be at 2 coats. Surprisingly, this formula dries up on the nail quite fast.

Concealer: ELF Studio Complete Coverage Concealer

My current concealer ran out recently. I was using the Averine Cover Spot in Medium for many years and decided wanted to try something else this cost me about RM68. It comes in a lipstick form but, I'll talk about this some other time.

The texture is somewhat creamy but not that creamy. Colour wise, it's OK for me as I have a light tan skin. Apparently, I'm able to use all 4 shades. However, I do mix 2 shades sometimes, especially for the light ones to accomodate my skin colour at times.

Coverage wise, it's covers light redness well but other than that, it's not as impressive as I thought it'd be. It doesn't cover dark under eye circle well as mine is really dark.

Taken under cool flourescent lighting

Taken under sunlight

It's cheap at $3 but I don't think I'll be purchasing a 2nd one. I'm definately going back to Averine's Cover Spot once this runs out.

Sephora Nail Files

After having that fantastic manicure done in Sephora Barcelona, I decided that I should buy those 7" professional nail files. The manicurist in Sephora Barcelona (SB) used this to file down my nails and it seemed really easy to use. Unlike those really thin emory boards - so flimsy and just hate it.

Nails: OPI Espresso Your Style & Tips Zoya Danii

I got this nail file in KL though, didn't think I'd need it until I got back from my trip. However, I'm not very good in shaping my nails yet. I always never able to get it to be square enough, it's already somewhat square-round-ish, if you know what i mean.

There's the shaping side in black and the finish in flourescent orange. It comes in a 2pk. It's around RM16 and I think the price is quite ok considering other cheaper brands also sell this at around the same price. Of course, I'd like to get a really professional brand one but, I'm not a professional manicurist, so yea....

I'll definately be bringing this for when I travel as it's much easier to carry this on-board.

YSL Nail Polish - Colour Unknown

Anyway, I'm was Barcelona just this week and in need of a manicure. I was really desperate as my current manicure looks like crap, it's all chipped and..... ugly.

I went to Depiline Center and found out that I needed a freaking appointment. All they would do for walk-ins now are waxings only....

So they recommended Sephora. Went to the nearest Sephora and got my nails done. I picked a black shimmer by YSL, didn't even have a colour label on it and hope you readers out there could help me. I'm about to remove this polish. Hopefully this is not a limited edition colour though. :(

Sorry for the weared out polish though - pictures were only taken when I got back home 4 days later.
